| The Roane-Calhoun County Drug Court program is pleased to announce the upcoming graduation ceremony for Charles Greathouse, Jr.
The event, which is open to the public, is scheduled for Friday, July 13 at 12:30 pm at the Roane County Courthouse Circuit Courtroom in Spencer. A luncheon will be held immediately following the ceremony featuring barbecued ribs, corn on the cob, and watermelon.
Some of Mr. Greathouse's accomplishments during his time in Drug Court have included: maintaining employment throughout the program, completing a training program as a Peer Recovery Coach, and over one-year clean time in the program with more than 18 months personal clean time. Mr. Greathouse is very active in 12-step fellowships and plans to further his education while pursuing a career within the field of substance abuse counseling.
Mr. Greathouse has opted for his ceremony to be open to the community in hopes of sharing a message with others that recovery is possible.
He is aware that his ceremony will be held on Friday the 13th for good luck.
