Jewell Carper Lowe, 92, of Spencer passed away Thursday, June 28 at Roane General Hospital, Spencer after a short illness.
Jewell was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Rev. John W. Lowe; father, Robert F. Carper; mother, Elizabeth Hively Carper; an infant son, Johnny William Lowe; and a sister, Georgia A. Carper.
Jewell was a retired tax preparer, having worked for the MaHaney Tax Service and for H&R Block.
She is survived by her sons and their wives; John S. and Freda Lowe of Freeland, Mich. and David and Donna Lowe of Amma. Â She is also survived by a grandson, John D. Lowe of Seattle, Wash. and a granddaughter, Beth Lowe of Clendenin.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 2 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Daniel R. Whited officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover. The visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
