| Paul Schmucker, 81, of Reedy, died Sunday, June 24, 2018 at home after a short illness.
He was born July 11, 1936 at Hartville, Ohio, a son of the late Daniel and Verna Miller Schmucker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Schmucker.
Mr. Schmucker retired in 1985 after 30 years of service at Teledyne Monarch Rubber Company, Hartville, Ohio. He enjoyed his family, woodworking and farming.
Survivors include his wife, of 61 years, Freda Marie Bailey Schmucker, whom he married March 2, 1957; children, Donna Huggins of Hartville, Ohio, Linda Shanks of Alliance, Ohio, Brenda Miller also of Hartville, Ohio, Paul Schmucker, Jr. of Reedy and Lisa Yoder also of Alliance, Ohio; 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; brother, Mahlon Schmucker of Gainesville, Mo.; sister, Hilda Schmucker of Hartville, Ohio.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 27 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. David McLaughlin officiating. Burial will be in the Schmucker Cemetery, Reedy.
The visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
