The West Virginia Ambassadors Camp, an educational summer camp for students entering ninth grade, will be held in Charleston June 18th through June 21st.
School superintendents submit two nominations from their district to join other outstanding students from around the state for an adventure in West Virginia history, culture and arts awareness. Lexi Gregory and Anne Pingley were selected to represent Calhoun County.
Entering its fifth year, Ambassadors Camp provides the participants with opportunities to learn more about the state with programs at the State Capitol; about Charleston with activities in the city and about college life while they stay in University of Charleston dorms.
Students ride buses to their activities at the State Capitol and downtown Charleston and they have 24-hour teacher chaperones during the camp.
