There are no projects in Calhoun County funded directly from the Road Bond Levy passed by WV voters, according to J. Rusty Roten,
District Engineer/Manager, WVDOT, Division of Highways.
Roten said the road bond was for large projects such as US 33, Scott Miller Hill in Roane County,the WV 2 Widening in Wood and other major projects.
Funded projects for Calhoun 2018:
Stinson Road Resurfacing - CR 17, Milepost 0.00 to 1.55
Back Fork Resurfacing - CR 4, Milepost 7.04 to 9.01
Milo Road Resurfacing - CR 13, Milepost 0.00 to 2.56
Little White Oak Resurfacing - CR 15/2, Milepost 4.12 to 5.54
Russet Road Resurfacing, CR 7, Milepost 1.73 to 5.23
Arnoldsburg Rd Slip Repair - US 33, Milepost 6.34
Projects #1 through #4 are DMV Fee projects pay by revenues generated from the increase in DMV Fees, luxury taxes, gas tax, etc. Project #5 is a state funded paving project from the yearly paving program fund.
Project #6 is a state funded slip repair project from the yearly slip repair fund.
The Back Fork and Milo Road projects are likely completed.
The Stinson Road resurfacing started this week.
