What are you doing this summer? How about exploring the power of the sun and wind. Students in grades 7-12 have an opportunity to enroll in a course designed to explore and capture this renewable energy.
The class will meet only 6 times during the summer, each Tuesday from June 18 through July 27th at Arnoldsburg Elementary School. The summer school day runs from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Summer busing is provided on a limited basis and students will be provided meals during the program.
The course is being offered by Calhoun County Schools through a summer school program and is funded by a 21st Century Community Learning Grant. Students will work on enriching and applying their math and science skills as well as learning about renewable energy.
Space is limited. Sign-ups are going on now. Complete the printable form and return to Calhoun County Schools immediately to assure your enrollment. For additional information contact Karen Kirby by email at kkirby@k2.wv.us or by phone at 304-354-6638.
