MAN THREATENS - A man from Milton was arrested Monday after allegedly threatening to shoot the staff at a fast food restaurant, Cabell County court records show.
Jason William Barker, 42, of Milton, is charged with terroristic threats.
The incident happened Monday at Taco Bell in Perry Morris Square in Milton.
Investigators say the victim, who works at that Taco Bell, said her ex-boyfriend was sending her threatening text messages and threatened to shoot staff there, as well as law enforcement officers.
According to court records, Barker said he was a tiger the victim had kept in a cage too long and it was time for him to be let loose.
Barker was taken to the Western Regional Jail. His bond is $25,000.
MAN SHOOTS DOG - A man is out on bond after being charged with animal cruelty for allegedly shooting a dog.
Deputies say Lloyd Gill shot a dog that was on his front porch.
Fayette County Sheriff's deputies on Sunday were called out to Stover Hollow Road in Scarbro.
Investigators say it appears Gill was inside his home when it happened. They say he shot a handgun through a window, hitting a dog that was on his porch in the chest.
The dog then ran off according to deputies. The officers found the owner of the dog and together they found the animal still alive.
Deputies say the dog was "friendly and approachable," even with its injuries.
A vet was called out to treat the injured dog. The condition of the dog is unknown right now.
Gill was arrested and charged with animal cruelty and shooting within 500 feet of |
