James Bernard Yoak, 97, of Ripley, WV, passed away May 15, 2018 in Ravenswood Village, Ravenswood, WV.
He was born July 14, 1920 in Shock, WV, a son of the late Lloyd and Mary Yoak.
In addition to his parents he was preceded by his wife Marjorie Yoak; brothers, Lloyd Yoak Jr. and Vere Yoak; sisters, Wilma Hersman, Thelma Richards, Ruth Hardman and Etna Altizer.
He was the former owner and operator of J. Bernard Yoak Excavating. He enjoyed reading, crosswords and was a Baptist by Faith.
Survivors include his sons, James B. Yoak Jr., of Eleanor, WV and Michael R. Yoak of Brunswick, GA; daughters, Sharon Seymore of Gilbertsville, PA, Diane Holder of Spencer, WV and Marsha May of Bridegport, WV; brother, Victor Yoak of Ripley, WV; 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Service will be Friday-12 noon, May 18, 2018, at the Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV. Burial will follow in the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer, WV. Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home. |
