Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center Community Service Day is set for Friday at the Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center, a day to give back to the people of the community.
Many of the Simulated Workplaces will be giving demonstrations or offering their services for FREE.
Community Service Day is for everyone, bring your children and grandparents too.
The Law and Public Safety lab will be providing free Elderly & Child ID's, with vital information and fingerprints on a CD Rom that you can take away.
If food interests you, stop by The Center Café, the first 100 visitors to the Center Café/Culinary Lab, will receive a packet of old Fashioned pancake mix.
If you have ever wanted to create your own business card, stop by the Digital Technology Lab and have the students of Calhoun-Gilmer Innovations design a business card for you. they will print 20 cards FREE.
The Welding Lab will be giving a welding demonstration and the Carpentry Lab will give a Plumbing Demonstration and will be showing everyone how to fix a broken pipe. In between demonstrations, stop by the Network Technology Lab to pick up a brochure about Internet Safety.

The students in the Health Occupations Lab will check your vital signs: temperature, pulse, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, height, & weight, no appointment necessary.
Last but not least if you make an appointment AND bring your own parts, the Automotive Lab, Busted Knuckle Garage, will provide FREE oil changes, front end alignments, tire servicing (balance, rotation, mounting, and visual inspection), as well as changing wiper blades and miniature bulbs; remember, you must bring your own parts.
