Edward Brinton Funk, 57, of Clover, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston.
He was born on June 16, 1960 in Spencer, a son of the late Howard and Betty Jackson Funk.
Brinton worked mostly in the car industry starting at his father Howard Funks Texaco service station and ending at Jack Garrett Ford in Spencer.
He was an animal lover who enjoyed hobby farming, fishing, taking Sunday drives in his Volkswagon convertible, spending time with family and friends, but mostly he enjoyed his granddaughter, Clara Marie Dove.
Brinton is survived by his wife of 38 years, Donna Hickel Funk; son, Bradley Alan Funk and his fiancee Brittany Harrison; his granddaughter Clara; sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Wayne Bradley; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Diana and Richard Donalson; as well as a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many wonderful life long friends,
A celebration of his life will be held at 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with Pastor Randy Whited officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service on Saturday. Per Brinton's request, he will then be cremated. |
