A Ritchie County woman was arrested after deputies found methamphetamine packaged to sell in her vehicle.
Keirstan Underwood, 21, of Cairo, was parked behind the Dairy Queen in Ellenboro after the business closed, according to court documents.
Deputies with the Ritchie County Sheriff's Department stopped to ask why, and while speaking with Underwood, a deputy noticed a glass marijuana smoking device and had her step out of the vehicle for further questioning.
Underwood did not cooperate with deputies, according to court documents. After putting Underwood in a deputy's vehicle, a search of her vehicle was completed and 2.2 grams of methamphetamine were found, deputies said.
The methamphetamine was separated into three bags. Multiple empty, plastic bags were also found, along with $463 in cash, deputies said.
Deputies said "multiple other possible controlled substances and drug paraphernalia were found in the vehicle," according to court documents.
Underwood is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
