Frances Irene Jarvis Saffir, 81, of Spencer, died Sunday, April 8, 2018 at the Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.
She was born July 3, 1936 at Ovapa, a daughter of the late Spencer and Dona Jarvis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eric Saffir; three brothers, Paul, Marvin and Charles Jarvis.
Frances was a member of the First Baptist Church of Spencer.
Survivors include two stepsons, Richie and Michael Saffir; two step grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy (Rex) Rice of Austin, Texas, Mary Parsons of Dover, Fla. and Arletta (Shirley) Conley of Chloe; brothers, James (Mable) Jarvis of Bristol, Tenn., Kenneth (Shirley) Jarvis of Reno, Ohio, Jack Jarvis of Westmoreland, Tenn. and Danny (Barbara) Jarvis of Minnora; sister-in-law, Madelon Jarvis of Elkview; a friend and neighbor of many years, Juanita Dale; several nieces and nephews.
The family extends a thank you to the Hubbard Hospice House for the care given to Frances.
Honoring her wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation. There will be a graveside service, for family and friends, at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14 at the Minnora Cemetery, Minnora, with the Rev. Mark Wood officiating.
Memorial donations are preferred to the Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Curtis Price Way, Charleston, WV 25311.
