Betty Lou Wine, 67, of Toler Run Road (Dusk Camp Community) departed this life suddenly in the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at her residence following a sudden illness. Born February 4, 1951 in Gilmer County, Betty Lou is the daughter of the late Parker and Wilda Collins Queen.
Betty was a former employee of Kenney Shoe in Glenville, She was also a long time employee of Ellyson Mortuary, Inc in Glenville, where she had 15 plus years experience caring for people in her community. In her spare time Betty enjoyed watching Glenville State College basketball, spoiling her 3 grandsons whenever possible, spending time with family and friends, and talking on the phone.
On June 22, 1979 she was united in marriage to Paul Dewey Wine II, who survives at their Toler Run Road home.
Surviving is her loving son, Larry Jones and wife Missy of Gassaway, WV; 3 grandsons, Scotty Jones and wife Brittany of Glenville, Marc Jones and companion Bailey Profitt, and Luke Jones and wife Shandi of Gassaway, 1 brother, Rodney "Bub" Queen and wife Karen of Lockney, WV; 2 nieces, Gina Whitehair and husband Rick of Colorado Spring, and Sarah Queen of Lockney, and 1 great-grandchild due to arrive soon.
Betty is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
Along with her parents, Betty Lou is preceded in death by 1 niece, Megan Blanche Queen.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc; 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 11:00 AM; Saturday, April 14, 2018 with Pastor Bryan Groves and Rev. Ronzel Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Turner Cemetery in Lockney. Friends will be received from 5-8 PM; Friday evening at the mortuary.
