West Virginians who feel a little stressed may have some good reasons, at least according to a new study from WalletHub.
A new report said Mountain State residents are not getting enough sleep, many only have fair or poor health and a large number are not making enough money.
Personal-finance website WalletHub said in a news release that West Virginia is the third most stressed state in the USA. Th n 2018's Most and Least Stressed States compared 50 states and the District of Columbia across 38 key metrics.
With a rating of 1 being the most stressed and 25 as the average, West Virginia was second in share of adults getting adequate sleep; second in percentage of adults in fair and poor health; and ninth in percentage of the population living below the poverty line.
The Mountain State also was 15th in average hours worked per week; 16th in job security; 13th in median credit score; 16th in divorce rate and 30th in psychologists per capita.
Louisiana and New Mexico were the two most stressed states in the report. North Dakota and Minnesota were the least stressed states.
