School officials dispute a large number of Facebook posts Tuesday regarding Calhoun Middle-High School covering up an incident posters said happened regarding a student.
School administrator Jeannie Bennett said there was a soft lock-down at the school related to an incident that did not happen at Calhoun Middle-High School.
"On Tuesday March 27, 2018, school officials were made aware of a young man that was missing from his home. Schools were placed on a soft lockdown to monitor attendance. No threats or weapons were reported. A soft lockdown allows entrance and exit of the building through designated doors. All indoor activities proceed normally," Bennett said.
"Calhoun County Schools strives to ensure the safety of all students and staff," she concluded.
