| MARION HOMICIDE - The Marion County Sheriff's Department has been investigating a homicide from over the weekend.
Sheriff Jimmy Riffle said that Saturday morning hunters found the body of a white man in a wooded area near the Monongalia and Marion County line off of Route 73.
The man was later identified as Josephus Coburn of Marion County, Riffle said.
Coburn had been reported as missing the day before, according to Riffle.
His body was sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office, where it was determined that he had died of a homicide, Riffle said.
Riffle said they have a suspect in custody and expects to press charges soon.
Sheriff Riffle said no further details are being released at this time and that the investigation is continuing. |
