LINDA LOU DAUGHERTY, 80, of Looneyville, West Virginia went home to be with the Lord on March 24, 2018 after a sudden death following heart surgery at Charleston Area Medical Center's Memorial Division in Charleston, West Virginia.
She was born August 9, 1937 a daughter of the late Paul and Ethelene Shouldis Kelly. She was retired after 29 years as a school cook at Linden School and later at Geary Elementary where she served as cafeteria manager during her last few years. She was an avid Jeff Gordon fan, enjoyed flowers and gardening, and attended the Hays Fork Community Church and the Epling Chapel Church.
Linda is survived by five children, Paula Kelly and Jimmy Kelly, both of Looneyville, Sheila (Roger) Massey of Cottageville, West Virginia, Jerome (Candy) Daugherty of Rittman, Ohio and Mary Starcher of Spencer, West Virginia; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her ex-husband and still close friend, the father of her children, Bobby Daugherty and a brother, Jack Kelly.
Service 1:00pm Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer with Rev. Justin Simmons officiating. Burial will be in the Rocky Branch Cemetery, Walton, West Virginia. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Linda requested donations to the St. Judes Childrens Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105. |
