Governor Jim Justice will meet with a selected half dozen or so West Virginia teachers for a live panel broadcast Monday at 4:00 pm in Huntington.
Calhoun teacher and union rep Craig Arthur was selected a member of the panel.
Arthur said, "Monday will make 8 days with no end in sight. The house passed the raise bill proposed by the governor (5% for anyone involved in the school system, and 3% for all other state workers), but the Senate did not."
"The WV House did their jobs, but the senate has failed to do theirs," said Arthur.
A PEIA task force will not be created until March 15th with a funding plan and fix due by December 2018, the insurance plan a primary concern with teachers and state employees.
