| Robert Clarence Epler, 95, of Reedy, West Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Charleston Area Medical Center's Memorial Division in Charleston, West Virginia.
He was born February 11, 1923 in Wirt County, a son of the late Charles F. and Grace Fox Epler. He was retired from the Spencer State Hospital in the powerhouse and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy in World War II and the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Wanda Burdette Epler; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Harold Pitts of Elizabeth, West Virginia; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert "Bobby" and Karen Epler of Reedy; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.
Service will be at 11:00am Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, West Virginia with Bill Walton officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Solon Cemetery in Wirt County. Visiting will be Friday from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home. |
