| Janice Lee Batten, 85 of Gay, WV passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at her home after a long illness.
She was born April 14, 1932 in Roane County, WV, a daughter of the late Raymond Ray and Deffie Mae Parks Perkins.
She retired after 20 years of service as a Statistical Clerk for the West Virginia State Police.
Janice is survived by two daughters, Jeanne Cress of Peniel, WV and Teena Turner of Pinch WV; two sisters, Genevieve Litton of Parkersburg, WV and Judy Knopp of Mineral Wells, WV and two brothers, Ray Perkins of Spencer, WV and Ronald Perkins of Gay, WV; 3 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Guy (Buddy) Batten; a daughter, Kelly Jo Batten and 3 siblings.
Service will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 16, 2018 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer. Burial will follow in the Spencer Memorial Cemetery in Spencer. Visiting will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. |
