A man allegedly attempting to break into the backdoor of a Country Lanes, Mt. Zion, house was caught by the homeowner and held at gunpoint early Thursday morning about 12:30 a.m.
The homeowner at 393 Country Lanes held the subject at gunpoint until the arrival of Calhoun Sheriff Jeff Starcher, who took the man into custody.
The man, described as having a Walker Road address, had a back-pack with a knife and hatchet.
State Police also arrived at the scene.
Henry Earl Stutler, Jr. 25, was charged with trespassing and is in Central Regional Jail.
