John Benton Moore, 60, of Orma, W.Va., went home in the arms of Jesus January 28, 2018, at home surrounded by his friends and family.
He was born February 7, 1957 in Gassaway, to Carolyn Sue Rollyson Moore and the late Roy Edsel Moore.
John was a selfless man who spent his days helping others. He was a hard worker who enjoyed his career as an auto body technician and has passed the trade onto his sons and grandsons. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
John will forever be loved and missed by his mother, Carolyn Sue Moore of Orma; his former wives, Karen Biser of Eaton, Ohio, and Joyce Moore of Gassaway; his children, Shawn (Jenny) Moore of Sutton, Shane (Brooke) Moore of Gassaway, Brittany (Joey) Moore Ball of Alum Bridge and Roy Moore of Gassaway; grandchildren, Kyle Moore, Mariah Moore, Hunter Dulaney, Kori Moore, Hannah Moore and Karma Moore; one great - grandson, Timothy Moore.
He was a devoted son and father. He was a born again Christian. Jesus Christ was his personal savior.
A celebration of John's life will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, February 1, at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway, with Rev. Wally Post officiating. Interment will be in the Sugar Creek Cemetery, Gassaway.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, at the funeral home.
