| Dorma Mozelle West, 81, of Spencer, West Virginia died Saturday, January 20, 2018 at her home.
She was born February 23, 1936 a daughter of the late James David and Nancy Luverna Brannon Smith. She was a homemaker and formerly worked as a cashier at local grocery stores and at Heck's. She enjoyed gardening and bird watching and was a member of the Rush Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Dennis West, Jr.; a son, Jeffrey Wayne (Kim) West of Dandridge Ridge, Tennessee; a brother, Chester Smith of Spencer; several step-grandchildren; and seven nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Dorma was preceded in death by four sisters, Lenore West, Macel Griffith, Madeline West, and Thelma Griffith; three brothers, Carmie, Cleo and Delmar Smith; and a half-brother, Vaness Miller.
Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, with Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Swank Cemetery, Spencer. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. |
