ARMED ROBBERY - South Charleston police are searching for a suspect following an armed robbery in South Charleston.

Dispatchers said the suspect used a crowbar to rob Kelly's Hot Spot . The business is located at 4929 MacCorkle Ave.

Police said the robber used the crowbar and demanded cash from the clerk. He then ran on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

STABBING - Charleston Police say that an altercation occurred outside the victim's apartment in the 1400 block of Lewis Street about 8:00 a.m. Saturday.

Police say a male suspect stabbed the victim twice.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, middle aged, standing 5'5" tall wearing a camouflage jacket.

MURDERER FOUND - The man wanted for an alleged murder in Marion County that occurred Friday afternoon, has been found.

According to Sheriff Jimmy Riffle of the Marion County Sheriff's Department, the suspect, Donald Ray Carpenter, was found behind a residence on Prickett's Creek Road.

Carpenter was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound and is being transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital. Riffle says that Carpenter appeared to be conscious.

Upon his release from the hospital, Carpenter will be taken into custody.

MURDER SUSPECT ARRESTED - A suspect in a Greenbrier County murder is in police custody on an unrelated charge, according to Greenbrier County Sheriff Bruce Sloan.

In a news release, he identified the murder victim as Shaela Lynn McCoy Abren, 32, of Webster Springs. She had reportedly been living most recently in Raleigh County.

Abren's body was found in the Blue Bend area on Thursday, Jan. 18.

The murder suspect was not being publicly identified as of Sunday morning.
