| Larry Roberts, 73, of Elizabeth, passed away on January 12, 2018, at Ohio Valley Healthcare where he had been a resident for the last five years.
He was born in Wirt County, the son of the late Lewis E.and Elva Roberts. He loved going to church and was a huge Wirt Tiger football fan. He enjoyed the simple things of life, visiting with friends, attending festivals, and playing horseshoes. He was a helpful and happy person who wanted others to be happy, too.
Larry is survived by brothers, Bruce Roberts, and Darrell Roberts, both of Elizabeth, and sisters Dorothy Via of Elizabeth, and Vesta Ruth Bunner of Vienna, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters Wanda Mae Belt, and Luanna McCray, and three infant brothers.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 20, at Matheny-Whited Funeral Home, Elizabeth. Visitation will be from 12-2 pm prior to the service. The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff and residents of Ohio Valley Healthcare for the excellent care and friendship he received while living in their facility.
