Rondle Lee McCumbers Sr., 82, of Normantown, WV departed this life Saturday, January 6, 2018 surrounded by family.
He was born January 10, 1935 in Stumptown, WV. Rondle was the son of the late Thomas Andrew McCumbers and Edna Ernie (Hardway)McCumbers. Rondle was a retired timber mill owner/operator. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing music, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by sons Gary Ronnie (Ruth) McCumbers, James Francis McCumbers, Virgil Ray (Donna) McCumbers, and William David (Noelle) McCumbers, daughters Donna (Paul) Mazon, Lisa (Bobby) Baker, Edna (Doug) Venditti, and Crystal Murphy, as well as the mother of eight children Violet Kathleen West. He has 25 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Florence Edith McCumbers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son Rondle Lee McCumbers, Jr., daughter Deloris Kaye (Marvin) Paxton, beloved grandson Rondle Ray McCumbers, brother Preston Virgil McCumbers, sisters Velma Faye Norman, Thelma (David) Low, Vera Cottrill, and first wife Lenora Fay Dix Alexander.
Services will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc. Arnoldsburg, WV on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, with private viewing for family at 9:00, public visitation at 10:00 am, and services at 11:00 am.
