Darrell Eugene Metheney, 74, of Leroy, WV passed away peacefully, at his home on January 3, 2018.
He was born in Walker, WV on July 24, 1943, a son of the late Roy Lee and Cleo Keffer Metheney.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, and really truly enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Sue Moore Metheney of Leroy, WV; two sons, Timothy E. (Heather) Metheney of Rittman, Ohio and William T. Metheney of Reedy, WV; two grandsons, Braden Metheney and Justin Metheney; four brothers, Don Metheney and Creston Metheney both of NIcut, WV, Jim Metheney of Chloe, WV; and George Metheney of WV; two sisters, Phyllis Anderson of Rush, WV and Carol Arnold of Chloe, WV; numerous nieces and nephews, and special niece Bella Rhodes.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Billy Jean Metheney and Syvlie Metheney; and sisters, Sue Bishop and Wanita Greathouse.
A funeral service will be held on at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 8, 2018 at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg, WV with Pastor John Larson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Coen Cemetery.
