| The Grand Jury of Calhoun County met Monday in Calhoun County with Judge Anita Harold Ashley presiding.
After hearing cases presented by Prosecutor Shannon S. Johnson and after due deliberation, the Grand Jury returned the following indictments:
David Bailey, 31, was indicted on Driving revoked for DUI, Third Offense, a Felony; Receiving Stolen Goods, a Felony; Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, a Felony; Possession of a Motor Vehicle without a Serial Number, a Felony; Fleeing from an Officer, Misdemeanor; and Reckless Driving, a Misdemeanor. This case was investigated by Corporal J. B. Hunt of the West Virginia State Police.
Michael Wayne Cain, 40, was indicted on one count of Child Abuse Resulting in Injury, a Felony. This case was investigated by Chief Craig Gherke of the Grantsville Police Department.
Dylan Paul Little, 25, was indicted on Receiving or Aid in Concealing Stolen Goods, a Felony; Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Misdemeanor; and four counts of Possession by Prohibited Person of a Firearm, a Misdemeanor. This case was investigated by Senior Trooper D. C. Moore of the West Virginia State Police.
James Edward Nichols, 26, was indicted on one count of Failure to Meet an Obligation to Provide Support for a Minor, a Felony. This case was investigated by April Chapman of the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources Bureau for Child Support Enforcement.
Joshua Michael Settle, 19, was indicted on Attempt to Disarm a Law Enforcement Officer, a Felony; Obstructing an Officer, a Misdemeanor; Fleeing from an Officer, Misdemeanor; Battery on an Officer, a Misdemeanor; Defective Equipment, a Misdemeanor; Driving while license suspended, Third Offense, a Misdemeanor; Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Misdemeanor; and Destruction of Property, a Misdemeanor. This case was investigated by Senior Trooper N. S. Stepp of the West Virginia State Police.
Indictments returned against individuals are merely charges at this time and are not indications of guilt. All the above Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. |
