William Baxter James, 66, of Sand Fork, Gilmer County, West Virginia, died January 2nd at his
home.
Born in Gilmer County he was a son of the late Butcher and Laura Bennett James. He was a
U.S. Army Veteran and served on the First Army Rifle Team. He was an avid hunter.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth James and daughter, Mary Elizabeth James of Sand Fork; two
brothers, Lee James of Glenville and Jerry James of Bedford.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Charles James.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Sunday, January 5 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg.
Interment will be in the King Cemetery at Nicut. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to
8 p.m. Saturday.
