| The Gilmer County Sheriff's Department captured a Gilmer-FCI escapee walking up a road in Gilmer County.
Officials say 60-year-old Joseph Carter was taken into custody after he was discovered walking up Duck Run Road.
Carter will be facing additional charges for the escape. Carter was missing for approximately 5 hours.
The Maryland man was not considered dangerous and had been convicted of firearms charges.
