| Heartwood in the Hills recently hosted a day long workshop for 10 Creative Puppetry students of Fairmont State College. Throughout the day Artistic Director Jude Binder led the students through a series of art, anatomy, movement and theatre exercises. The day culminated when the students combined all the exercises of the day to perform the theatre game - "The Great Blueness.
Joining in the workshop was Francene Kirk, Abelina Suarez Professor of Communication and Theatre and Creative Puppetry Professor at Fairmont State . Colleen Dorsey, Kelli Cooper, Justin Allen, Aaron Sine, Dina Vergura, Jared Mouts, J.R. Watson, Seret Cole, Samantha Young and Abby Hilpert. In addition to theatre majors, the group of students included three theatre education majors and one music major.
