Calhoun's three fire departments responded to a structure fire on Honeysuckle Lane (Simmons Hollow) off Sinking Springs Road just after 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Fire consumed two adjoining mobile homes at the head of the primitive road hollow.
A female at the residence received burns to her hand and arm, she and a small child were taken to Roane General Hospital.
Sources at the scene identified the occupants as Michael and Amber Neal, the property owned by Donald Simmons.
The Grantsville, Arnoldsburg and Upper West Fork VFDs responded.
