The Republican led WV legislature and Charleston politicos are moving toward rolling back gas royalty rights held dear to most WV royalty owners, and confirmed by the decision of the Tawney Case in Roane County in 2007, all in the name of increased natural gas production in the Mountain State.
Tawney told the Hur Herald before the gas rights case was brought, "This is the biggest secret rip-off of little guys."
Now, ten years after the court ruled for the "little guy," the big corps are spending millions of dollars to revert, and state politicos and the WV Supreme Court seem amiable.
