State Police arrested a Calhoun man Sunday and filed multiple charges against him.
Police responded to several incidents involving Dillon Robert Mefford, 24, charging him with domestic assault, battery and destruction of property at his mother's residence at Big Springs.
According to the complaint, a vehicle driven by Mefford struck another vehicle at Cha-Tis Convenience Store in Grantsville and left the scene. A complaint was filed for leaving the scene of an accident.
He is in Central Regional Jail with bond set at $6,500 cash.
Roane authorities arrested Joshua Neal Shirey, 27, Monday and charged him with attempted armed robbery, breaking and entering, threats of intimidation and burglary. He is in Central Regional Jail with bond at $457,500.
The incident involved Shirey and Ronnie Lee Rogers II, 27, both of Clay, going to Walton's Thriftway, when their was a discovery concealing a pistol covered by a napkin in the store's deli.
Store employees kept giving the men free food until authorities arrived, saying they fear for their lives.
