Brief flash-offs of electric power continued for several hours in parts of Calhoun Thursday, causing intermittent problems with the rapid disruption and restarting of appliances and electronics.

Some residents reported 25-50 brief flash-offs, which lasted for a few seconds.

Mon Power said they had received numerous complaints, and came to the area to investigate.

A company spokesperson told the Herald Thursday night the disruptions were caused by an aerial chopper with dangling blade cutting right-of-way.
