| Charlotte Snider Woodyard, 84, of Parkersburg WV, formerly of Glenville WV departed this life at 4:10 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the Arcadia Nursing Center in Coolville OH; following an extended illness.
Born April 16, 1932 in Tanner WV Charlotte was the daughter of the late Guy and Mona Snider.
Charlotte was a graduate of Tanner High School, Class of 1950 as class valedictorian. She first attended the University of Kentucky and was a graduate of Glenville State College. In 1994 after 28 years of service, she retired from Glenville State College as a purchasing director.
Charlotte loved to travel, especially motor trips and Caribbean Cruises, and she was also a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.
In 1953 Charlotte was united in marriage to Jacob J. "Jack" Woodyard who preceded her in death on May 17, 1997.
Surviving is 1 son-in-law, Stephen Hiener of Parkersburg WV; and 2 granddaughters, Bethany Pellegrino and husband Ronald of Morgantown WV, and Suzannah Rae Packert and husband Christopher of Gypsum CO.
Also surviving are 2 great grandchildren, Jack Stephen Packert and McKinley Rae Packert.
Along with her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Kay Woodyard Hiener, who passed on September 18, 2015.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc, 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville WV at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2016 with Rev. Robert Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery on WV Hwy 5 West of Glenville WV. Friends may call from 11-1 Saturday at the mortuary. |
