| Ellen Wanda Davis, 81, of Gandeeville, West Virginia, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Huntington, West Virginia.
She was born April 19, 1935, a daughter of the late Roma and Clara Carpenter Hargus. She was a former nurse having worked the Buffalo Creek Disaster and also worked for the National Weather Service.
She is survived by a son, Michael M. Davis of Gandeeville and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Mason Davis; a daughter, Connie Jane Davis; and two brothers, Robert and Leroy Hargus.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, May 9, 2016 at the Hunt Cemetery on Vicars Ridge near Gandeeville. There will be no visitation or service at the funeral home.
