Steve Whited, CEO of Minnie Hamilton Health System offers a public notice and provider updates in the following public service announcement.
In an effort to keep the community informed of the continuing work to offer quality healthcare solutions for our patients and their families at our clinics and hospital, we wanted to provide the following updates.
We currently are in the process of recruiting several providers, many that live in the local area. We are excited about what this will mean for our patients at both the Grantsville and Glenville clinics. An improvement in provider appointment availability, fewer appointment re-schedules, and an improvement in the timeliness of the billing cycle are all expected results of this recruitment effort.
The recruitment process is traditionally a time consuming endeavor, including but not limited to provider schedule meetings, insurance credentialing processes, and licensing efforts. Each of these steps are critical in the recruitment process, and their timely completion is often beyond the control of the MHHS staff.
It would be irresponsible and unprofessional to communicate the names of those providers that we are in talks with, prior to having a signed agreement with an expected start date. We want to reassure the members of our communities that we are dedicated to finding the right providers for our practice that will bring the quality healthcare solutions that our patients and their families deserve. We will communicate all new providers and their start dates as they are signed and confirmed.
During this transition period we have had multiple MHHS providers add time to their current schedules, allowing those patients needing to schedule an appointment additional options.
Dr. Cathy Jones remains our pediatrician and provides hours at both our Grantsville and Glenville clinic. Dr. Roshan Hussain continues to provide full time hours that are also split between our Grantsville and Glenville clinics. Janie Knotts, PA has added an additional 2 days a month at the Grantsville clinic and continues to accept patients. Dr. Jason Fincham continues to provide coverage in our ER, Inpatient Rounding, and some clinical days. Dr. Suresh is always looking for opportunities to return to the clinic on the weekends as his fellowship allows.
We continue to provide great clinic walk-in service at the Grantsville clinic by Jessica Fitzwater, FNP and at the Glenville clinic by Mandi Johnson, FNP. We sincerely appreciate the efforts of our provider staff during this transition period and would highly recommend any of them to patients looking to establish with a new provider.
