| The Little Kanawha Valley Christian School vision committee and its board of directors have continued meeting to further the plans for the upcoming public meeting on April 10th at 3 pm at the Calhoun County Senior Center in Grantsville.
The board of directors, Bob Bailey, David Cain, Bruce Fitzwater, Ken Heiney, Susan Pitts, Sue Williams, and Marlan Zwoll have worked closely with the steering committee to create an informational sheet of questions and answers for the public, along with applications for students, teachers, and volunteers.
The group will be meeting this next week with an A Beka representative to go over the curriculum for the school. As a matter of fact, a sampling of the school's textbooks will be on display that afternoon so that parents may get a look into the curriculum designed for LKVCS.
All community members are welcome and encouraged to attend this very informative meeting. Many topics will be covered that afternoon, some of which will be academic standards, enrichment programs involving the arts, music (both vocal and instrumental), recreation, and life skills involving gardening, cooking/baking, sewing, mechanics, carpentry, etc.
