| Nora May Burns, 90, of Looneyville WV, died Thursday, March 24, 2016, at the Roane General Hospital, Spencer.
She was born April 16, 1925, at Teddington, England, a daughter of the late Charles and Ethel Florence Caulson Thompson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Glide Burns, on February 3, 2016; and one son, Charles Burns.
She was a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She attended the Hays Fork Community Church, Looneyville.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Sue Burns of Looneyville; grandsons, Terry Burns of Spencer and Tim Burns of Wisconsin; granddaughter, Anita of Illinois; seven great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 29 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Ronald W. Fisher officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover. The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral.
