CALHOUN CR 18 – ALTIZER ROAD CLOSED BEGINNING TODAY FOR SLIP REPAIR

Calhoun County, WV - West Virginia Division of Highways announces the planned closure of Calhoun County Route 18, Altizer Road, beginning on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, for slip repair, according to Jake Bumgarner, District Three Maintenance Engineer.

Crews working for GSI will have CR 18 closed from milepost 4.60 to milepost 4.90 (0.82 miles North of CR 18/2, Hughes Run) to accommodate slip repair. The roadway is expected to be closed to all traffic between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., with one lane being open to motorists between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. The anticipated completion date of this project is Saturday, March 5, 2016.

Major delays can be expected and motorists will not be allowed through the work zone when heavy equipment is in use. Motorists must use an alternate route during work hours.
