| Donald Lewis Murphy age 83 of Glenville, West Virginia, departed this life suddenly on the morning of February 14, 2016 at his residence on Kelly Run Road. Born May 20, 1932 in Gilmer County, West Virginia.
Donald was the son of the late Thomas L. and Lessie Grose Murphy.
Don was a graduate of Sand Fork High School. He was a builder in the construction industry, Army Veteran from the Korean Conflict, and member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Sand Fork, West Virginia. In his spare time, Don loved to hunt and fish.
Surviving are 2 children, Gregory Murphy of Glenville and Tanya Motsinger and husband Keith of Columbus, Ohio.
Along with his parents, Don was preceded in death by 1 sister, Maxine Spaur.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Burial will follow in the Lynch Cemetery on Sand Fork Road. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Saturday morning at the mortuary.
