| The West Virginia Board of Education approved Wednesday closing Reedy Elementary School in Roane County and three elementary schools in Boone County.
Reedy Elementary, a high achieving school, is being closed because of reduced enrollment and to help Roane Schools balance their budget.
Reedy Elementary will be closing at the end of this school year. The local board previously approved its closure.
