| William D. Casto (Bill), 81, of Arizona, was born Sept. 20, 1934, in Spencer, W.Va., and left this earth on Jan. 26, 2016, at his home in Surprise, Ariz.
He is survived by Carol, his wife and best friend of 56 years; and daughters, Brenda Peterman and Cathryn and Susan Casto all of Surprise, Ariz. He is also survived by one sister, Betty (Charles) Deem of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by an infant daughter; his father and mother, James A. Casto and Hattie Carrie Barnhouse Casto Wendt; a sister, Dorothy Shoemaker; and three brothers, James, Dennis and Benjamin.
Bill served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict and then in the Army National Guard. He retired from Commonwealth Edison of Ill. in 1992 and moved from Indiana to Arizona in 1997.
