| Gladys Hicks Forshey, 78, of Waverly WV, widow of Dale Forshey, passed away Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, at the Willows Center in Parkersburg.
Born in Calhoun County, W.Va., on June 17, 1937, she was the daughter of the late David and Corene Jarvis Hicks.
She was a press operator at American Bisque/American China. Gladys was a cook for many years at the Highway Grill. She loved going to play bingo, watching NASCAR and spending time with her family.

She is survived by five daughters, Ann (John) Davis, Phyllis Wright and her companion Pat Elder, Brenda (Perry) Wolfe, Karen (Jamie) Riffle and Judy Piersol; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy (Tom) Duncan and Glennis (Curt) Blevins; sister-in-law, Wilma Jarvis; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Dallas Jarvis, Eugene Hicks and Charles Hicks; one sister, Janice Forshey; and two great granddaughters, Madison Davis and Savannah Wolfe.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, at Ingram Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Mayfield officiating. Burial will be in Willow Island Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. |
