MAN FIRES SHOTS - A man is behind bars after allegedly firing shots, and hitting a home, early Friday morning in Elkview.
While deputies were en route, 911 dispatchers were still on the phone with the caller and heard gunshots.
When deputies got on scene, they found Christopher Young, 47, of Elkview.
They say he turned to face them, taking a stance like he was aiming a gun at them.
Deputies say he turned and ran, but stopped at a fence.
When deputies caught up with him, they say he fought them and yelled, "Shoot me! Just put me down!"
A .22 caliber revolver with five spent shellcasings was found in his pocket.
One of the bullets had struck a nearby home.
Young was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and obstructing an officer. More charges could be filed.
Young is being held in the South Central Regional Jail.
