Inez V. Carr, 86, of Mt. Zion, WV went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, following an extended illness.
She was born March 25, 1929, at Nicut, WV, the daughter of the late Martin and Maude Boone Metz.
Surviving are two daughters, Becky (Bill) Collins of Mt. Zion, and Nina (Mike) Smith of Arnoldsburg WV; four granddaughters, Angela Ferrell, Nichole Miller, Andrea Johnson, and Haley Archer; eight great-grandchildren, Brennen, Jaida, Rylan, Emersyn, Bodin, Aubryn, Reece, and Hadley; and one brother, Frank Metz.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Hobart Carr; sisters, Anna Longfellow, Osie Metz, Gertrude Perkins, Pauline Farrar, Emma Siers, and Irene Wayne; brothers, Carmel Metz, Clell Metz, Thurl Metz, Bruce Metz, and Martin Metz.
Funeral services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Roger Carter and Evangelist Steve Boggs officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Collins Community Cemetery.
