Fire gutted a log house Christmas Eve at 11927 W. Little Kanawha Highway, Annamoriah.
Apparently no one was home when the fire started.
The dwelling was heavily damaged, with fire burning through an outside wall and ventilating through the roof as the Grantsville VFD arrived following the call at 8:19 p.m.
Fire quickly brought the blaze under control.
The house was located on Rt. 5 near the Wirt County line.
Fire struck the same dwelling, doing extensive damage, on July 21, 2014, occupied that that time by Hattie Starcher.
Minnie Hamilton EMS also responded to the scene.
State Police responded to a domestic dispute Christmas Eve, described as a verbal dispute, the male subject leaving the house.
