| Beulah Mardell Smith, 92, of Spencer, passed away December 18, 2015 in the Miletree Center, Spencer after an extended illness.
She was born November 23, 1923 in Spencer, a daughter of the late Romie Freer and Hattie Cordelia Harris Ferrell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Ina, Betty, Golda and Genevieve; two brothers, Romie, Jr. and Royce; four infant siblings.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and attended the Rush Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James Chester Smith, whom she married October 10, 1953, of Spencer.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22 at the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer, with the Rev. Larry Jones officiating. There will be no visitation.
John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements.
