| 3/24/2017 - A Calhoun man, Mark Allen Cunningham, 43, has entered a plea of guilty to Voluntary Manslaughter, a felony, in the death of a Grantsville woman, Pauline Lynette Headley, 59.
Calhoun prosecutor Shannon Johnson said Cunningham was sentenced to a determinate prison sentence of 10 years.
He had been indicted on one count of murder.
The criminal complaint said the victim was involved in a domestic violence incident at her home on Woody Lane, Grantsville.
"The incident resulted in the death of the victim as a result of traumatic injuries, being beaten by Mark Cunningham, her co-habitating partner," said the complaint.
Headley died on October 10, 2014 in a Huntington hospital.
UPDATE 12/16/2016 - The 2014 murder trail for Mark Allen Cunningham, 42, charged in the death of a Grantsville woman Pauline Headley, 59, has been delayed.
Calhoun prosecutor Shannon Jones said a new trial date has not yet been set.
The trial, a change in venue, had been set for last week in Spencer.

Cunningham is charged with the murder of Lenette Pauline Headley, 59, of Grantsville, happening in 2014.
11/19/2016 - A Calhoun man, Mark Allen Cunningham, 42, is set for trial in Calhoun Circuit Court in December.
Cunningham was indicted in May by a Calhoun Grand Jury on one count of murder, according to prosecutor Shannon Johnson.
He is charged in the traumatic death of Lennette Pauline Headley, 59, of Grantsville, the incident occurring in October, 2014.
First Sgt. L. G. O'Bryan of the West Virginia State Police presented the case to the Grand Jury, which had been investigated by various members of the West Virginia State Police.
Cunningham is being held in Central Regional Jail with bond set at $250,000.

UPDATE 12/23/15 - State Police have arrested Mark Allen Cunningham, 42, Tuesday and charged him with the 2014 murder of his significant other Pauline Lenette Headley, 59, of Phillips Run, Grantsville.
Cunningham was charged with second degree murder by Sgt. Larry O'Bryan, and is in Central Regional Jail, with bond yet to be posted.
The criminal complaint says on October 8-9,2014, the victim was involved in a domestic violence incident at her home on Woody Lane, Grantsville.
"The incident resulted in the death of the victim as a result of traumatic injuries, being beaten by Mark Cunningham, her cohabitating partner"
Headley died on October 10, 2014 in a Huntington hospital.
Police say the complaint is based on autopsy results completed by the WV Medical Examiners Office, reports from Minnie Hamilton Health System, in addition to witness statements and evidence taken from the scene.
Calhoun prosecutor Shannon Johnson had said the case was a continuing investigation.
Detectives with the WV State Police have been in the county recently taking statements from a number of individuals who had information regarding the incident that allegedly led to her death.
Authorities had said that the woman died under suspicious circumstance.

Calhoun prosecutor Shannon Johnson said, "I have been asked about the status of the investigation into the death of Ms. Headley. I want to assure the family and community that this matter is being taken seriously by this office."
"Just because there has been no public action taken regarding the matter does not mean that this office and the State Police have forgotten about the case," Johnson said.
"It still remains an open and active State Police investigation. There are still a few aspects of the case that need further exploration. When everything is completed, we will decide which course of action to take," she said.
